We believe that great coffee shouldn’t be complicated, but it should be earned. Our brand is built on the foundation of the American work ethic: honest, reliable, and unapologetic. We don’t just sell run of the mill coffee; we provide the specialty grade fuel for modern-day pioneers, the early risers, and the doers who keep things moving.

In a world of mass production and stale shelves, we do things differently. Our coffee can't arrive stale and never sits on a shelf. Sugar and Milk aren't required to make our brews taste great or cover up any bitterness add them only if you want too. Many of our customers drink their Iron Horse coffee black. 

ooh and one more thing...Trains are cool!

Roasted Fresh:

We don't believe in coffee sitting on a shelf. Our specialty grade beans are roasted in small batches by experts and shipped immediately. That's not a goal that's the standard, ensuring that peak flavor and aroma are locked in and optimized by the time your coffee reaches your door. In contrast Super market coffee has best-buy dates that are 1 year after roasting which means they can sit on a shelf in a warehouse or store for a year...not fresh!

A Heritage of Steam:

This isn't just a brand—it’s a family legacy.  We are a family of third and fourth-generation model railroaders (and business owners) and have been "playing with trains" since we could crawl. That passion is stronger than ever. Whether we are at the workbench, operating our layout, or standing trackside waiting to feel the heat and power of a steam locomotive roar past, that spirit is in our bones. To us, steam locomotives represent exactly how America became America: through grit, steel, endurance, and sheer will. We built Iron Horse Roasters to honor that same spirit. We aren't just selling coffee; we’re keeping a piece of that heritage alive. At the end of the day, some things are just timeless like a simply good cup of coffee—and trains which happen to be the coolest machines ever built.

Philanthropy:

At Iron Horse we not only fill our spare time with running trains we give back to the community. We helped found The Ability Foundation of NJ Inc which is a nonprofit 501c3 organization. The mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to embrace their unique abilities and challenge themselves to reach their fullest potential. We strive to cultivate a supportive community that inspires confidence, resilience, and personal growth.

The Ability Foundation hosts Sports and Recreational activities for those with special needs from age 7 through young adults. From Buddy Baseball to Art programs we do our best to serve this underserved population. The joy on the faces of those stepping across home plate, who normally have a hard time with everyday activities, is priceless.
